Thomas House Investigation 2016

The inn was built in 1890 by the Cloyd family and was known as the Hotel Cloyd and Recreation Park. There was a vast amount of land at that time. Food served in the dining room, from produce to meat was raised on the property. There was a golf course, horse trails, hunting, canoeing, outdoor open-air bowling alley, shuffle board lanes, an outdoor dance hall and any number of lawn games. The hotel passed through several owners one (a wrestler) kept a live bear in the building used to entertain the guests, and was last owned and operated by a Cult who specialized in contacting the afterlife. The Thomas House has approximately eleven acres of the original property and have opened fifteen rooms to the public.

Hauntings: Room 37 is the most haunted room in the building, Daryl told of hauntings including the one time he saw a dark shadowy figure of a man come through the front door and stand by the Al Gore, Sr. chair before disappearing. There have been documented deaths of a child drowning in the swimming pool and a gentleman falling from a horse while crossing the bridge leading to the property and dieing in the stream. There have been loud crashes heard as though someone has just struck the building with their automobile. At times bricks are said to be have been heard falling from the crash but nothing out of place is ever found. Ghostly sounds include that of a whistle that is heard and the organ which is not plugged in the wall. An apparition of an old lady has been seen coming down the hallway with all the pictures on the wall and disappearing into the gift room.

The Ghost Research Society investigated the Thomas House from June 15th to June 16th of 2016. Team members included: Stan Suho, Jim Piscopo, Kathie Para, Sandy Weber, Michael Wright, Katherine Meagher, Chuck Williams, Demaris Miles and Dale Kaczmarek with help from Dean Thompson and Clint Gaither.

Equipment setup: The Command Center was placed on the second floor with cameras mounted in the downstairs foyer, hallway and long hallway throughout the night. REM Epods, motion detectors and other devices were deployed around the upstairs and downstairs of the building.

Experiments performed: EVP, Ovilus and Ghost Box sessions were conducted in former dining room, Room 18, room where a murder took place, second floor hallway, pool area, long hallway and the bridge outside.

Personal experiences:

Kathie Para: GRS members present for this trip were: Dale Kaczmarek, Stan Suho, Michael Wright, Kat Meagher, Jim Piscopo, Sandy Weber, Chuck Williams and me. This was a two day stay that entailed many areas of investigation and EVP sessions throughout the hotel and grounds. We spent time in Leonard’s cave, the family chapel outside of the hotel, the swimming pool area (where a little girl is said to have drowned), the bridge over the small creek and several areas inside the main building.

We got several names from the Ovilus along with pertinent words. Having spent 48 hours there I am only reporting what I thought were the highlights for me.

Three areas were of particular interest to me:  In Room 18 we had a figure that kept showing up on the X-cam peeking in and out of the bathroom doorway.

The formal dining room also seemed to have a different vibe. We had more than one figure showing up on the X-cam while Kat, Jim, Dale and I were gathered at the table.

The second floor hallway, where most of us had our rooms, proved to be THE highlight of my stay. During a thunderstorm the second night we were there, Jim, Stan, Kat,  Dale and myself set up our equipment in this hall and proceeded to do an EVP session. The air seemed charged, most likely because of the thunder and lightning going on outside. Dale’s Melmeter showed readings from .3 to .8. We hadn’t had much in the way of Melmeter reading prior to this. We also were getting spikes on other EMF meters while asking questions. Suddenly there was a terrific boom of thunder that shook the building. We were saying things like “Holy cow! Did you feel the floor shake” and things like that. Immediately the Ovilus said “FELT” and then “HOUSE”.  The K-II meters lit up as the words were coming out of the Ovilus. Apparently a spirit thought the thunder was pretty awesome too! Things seemed to quiet down after that and we eventually ended the session.

The only piece of audio I’ve included in my report is from our first night. There is a room where the murder of a prostitute is supposed to have taken place. We gathered there as a group to do an EVP session. There is a sitting room and a bedroom. Chuck was on the bed and the rest of us were in the adjoining sitting room. Assuming we were talking to the prostitute, we asked her who was next (to see her) and the Ovilus said “CHUCK.” Someone asked ‘did it say Chuck?” and the Ovilus said “YEAH.”  That was funny and pretty cool.

I really enjoyed my stay at Thomas House! The family is fantastic and the food is delicious and plentiful. The hospitality there can’t be beat. I’d be happy to return there any time!

I also got a very cool recording of the rain, thunder and frogs croaking while sitting out on the second floor porch!

Jim Piscopo: We started setting up equipment after dinner at about 8:00PM. I set up in the foyer facing the front door with my Sony camcorder with night vision. We then went across the street to do an EVP session in the church. After that we returned to the house and did more EVP sessions in various rooms and hallways.  On day two I set up my camera down the hallway where there was a murder. I did some recording and EVPs in the afternoon while the group went to the cave. I continued recording through the night while we did an EVP session at the pool and throughout the house.

During both nights we encountered thunder storms. While doing the EVPs I used the K-II meter and the SRS camera. We got some interesting responses during EVPs but it seemed the house wasn't as active as our previous visits but will know more when the evidence is reviewed.

Stan Suho: This was my third visit to this fine old place so I pretty much knew the layout of the house and grounds. We arrived in mid-afternoon and Dale gave the group a walk through, pointing out all the active spots. I began an early setup while it was still light outside, all the while listening for the dinner gong.

This visit I would use two IR cameras. One would be pointed down the back hallway on the second floor toward a doorway where a “shadow figure “was reported. The other was down in the Dining Room, focused on the doorway where a full torsal phantasm appeared looking in the doorway toward the tables. This was reported by one of the staff members, who also
recorded it. Both cameras were night vision cameras. Chuck and Jim also had night vision cameras in use. Our Ace EVP team was busy both nights checking out the building, the pool area, the bridge, the Chapel and later the cave.

When we were leaving, Evelyn, the Grand Lady of the Thomas House, brought out some Grand Ole Opry posters for sail. It seems that she knew many of the Stars from the hay day back in the 50s. Many of them stayed at the Thomas House. If you go be sure and say hello to her and drop some names.

Conclusion:
I'd say this should be on every group's wish list for a relaxing take your time investigation, and don't forget to say to say "Hay" to Ev.

Sandy Weber: Equipment:    Sony night shot video camera, Infrared camera (FLIR), dousing rods, Tri-Field Natural EM meter

Phenomena witnessed by investigator

I participated in investigations on the first evening and night on the 2nd floor, unused swimming pool, and church across the street.  In Room 18, the SLS X-Cam being used by Dale appeared to show an entity peaking around the bathroom door and then leaving the room.  That is a room containing one full or double bed, with an adjoining room containing a single bed.  There have been reports of the single bed moving during the night.  Since I was sharing that room with a friend who did not want to sleep in a moving bed, I took the single bed.  During the night, I got up to use the bathroom and returned to bed.  Before I went to sleep again I heard distinct “squeaky spring” noises that appeared to come from the other bed, which left me smiling.  In the morning, my friend in the other bed denied getting up to the bathroom or hearing/feeling her bed move.  We tried to replicate the sound by sitting heavily on the mattress and getting out of bed, but we could not replicate the sound I heard. Later I was resting briefly before leaving to go to the Leonard’s Cave investigation when I heard another squeaky noise through my right ear which was against the pillow.  I did not hear the sound through my left ear.  The sound occurred perhaps 5 -6 times.  I was unable to replicate it.  It was unlike the sound heard the previous night, and it did not come from my squeaky old joints!

Summary

I did not record or witness any clear evidence that Thomas House is haunted.  However, the above-described events are intriguing, and my investigation was cut short by an injury in Leonard’s Cave. I reserve judgment on whether or not I believe the hotel is haunted.

Chuck Williams: Equipment: Zoom recorder, GoPro & Panasonic 4K Cameras, IR Lights, REM Pod.

Experiments:  first Session was in the Cloyd Church, had Rem Pod going off steady, when moved it stopped.  Then the bridge where someone fell off a horse.  Next we explored the 2nd floor rooms, spirit box hits in prostitute suite.  Next day we went to the Leonard’s Cave, Sandy had a fall breaking her clavicle.  We explored the pool area that night and 2nd floor again.

Conclusion:  The only critical thing I had was after the pool on the 2nd night, there was a really long break in the lobby, and I felt we could have used that time for more investigating.  Of note were the “Elvis” EVPs, 1st time a celebrity was mentioned in EVPs.

Michael Wright: In the main house we did a number of EVP sessions except for some compelling Ovilus and Ghost Box activity I personally did not pick up any EVPs, The dowsing rods were active in the house and outside by pool.

The Thomas House was very enjoyable; the hosts went out of their way to accommodate our group.

Am grateful I had the opportunity to stay and investigate such an interesting location.

Dale Kaczmarek: Another interesting investigation of the Thomas House. I was able to employ the X-Cam SLS for this visit and picked up some interesting hits. While conducting an EVP session in the former dining room, Dean had asked the spirits to touch his energy wand device. Immediately a “stick figure” appeared and did indeed touch his device!

In Room 18 stick figures were seen hanging from the ceiling, something peeking into the room which then appeared on the door itself and someone sitting in the rocking chair for a bit.

In the room where a prostitute was apparently murdered sometime in the past, another figure was seen on the SLS, hanging from the ceiling.

One of the best pieces of evidence collected was in the second floor hallway during a thunderstorm. A crack of lightning and the ensuing thunder literally rocked the house. My Melmeter had increased just before the strike and the Ovilus in dictionary mode said, “felt” followed by “house.” Very creepy!

Evidence collected:

2nd floor Chuck yeah Thomas.MPG – while conducting an Ovilus session in the second floor hallway, a question was asked, “Say your name,” the Ovilus responded with, “Chuck.” When asked, “Did you say Chuck?” the Ovilus responds with, “Yeah.”

Dale you up Thomas.MPG – while conducting an Ovilus session in phonetic mode, a question was asked, “Can you tell us whose next after Chuck?” The Ovilus responds with, Dale you’re up.

Damn they got a picture of us Thomas.MPG – during our initial walk-through Williams’s camera picks up a whispery voice that seems to say, “Damn they got a picture of us.”

Elvis c’mon in what Thomas.MPG – William’s Panasonic 4k static camera in the long hallway picks up a whisper saying, “Elvis c’mon in” “What?”

Farewell Thomas.MPG – while conducting an EVP session in the second floor hallway a faint whisper says, “Farewell.”

Felt house Thomas.MPG – while conducting an Ovilus session in dictionary mode in the second floor hallway during a thunderstorm, a loud crack of lightning followed by a thunder clap that literally shook the house, the Ovilus responds with “felt” and “house.”

Frank Thomas.MPG – while conducting an EVP session on the bridge at the bottom of the hill leading to the main house, a whisper was recorded that says, “Frank.”

Get out Thomas.MPG – William’s GoPro static camera positioned in the long hallway picks up a voice saying, “Get out.”

Giddy up Thomas.MPG – while conducting an EVP session at the bridge, a voice in the background was heard to say, “Giddy up.”

Gonna die Thomas.MPG – William’s Panasonic 4K static camera in the second floor hallway picked up a voice saying, “Gonna die.”

Harmonica sound Thomas.MPG – a harmonica or horn sound was recorded in the background. I don’t believe that any of us actually heard the noise in real time.

Harmonic2 thomas.MPG – Williams’s Panasonic 4K static camera located in a second floor bedroom picked up another harmonic or horn sound.

Harmonic3 thomas.MPG – Williams’ Panasonic 4k static camera located in a second floor bedroom picked up yet another harmonic or horn sound.

Hup Thomas.MPG – while conducting an EVP session on the second floor a door creaking open can be heard followed by a voice that says, “Hup.”

Hurry Thomas.MPG – William’s Panasonic 4k static camera located in the long hallway on the second floor picked up a voice saying, “Hurry.”

Jim Thomas.MPG – William’s Panasonic 4k static camera located at the bridge picked up a voice saying, “Jim.”

Kelly pool Thomas.MPG – while conducting an Ovilus session by the pool, a question was asked, “Can you tell us your first name?” The Ovilus responds with, “Kelly.”

Noise Thomas.MPG – Piscopo’s IR static camera located in the long hallway picked up a strange noise.

Oh gosh Thomas.MPG – during our initial walk-through, as Dale was giving a history someone talks over him and says, “Oh gosh.”

Portal Thomas.MPG – while conducting an Ovilus session in dictionary mode in Room 18, Williams’ Panasonic 4k camera picked up the Ovilus which said, “Portal.”

Ran away Thomas.MPG – while conducting an EVP in Room 18, a question was asked, “See anything?” William’s Panasonic 4k camera picked up a voice saying, “Ran away.”

Satan Thomas.MPG – while conducting an EVP session on the second floor hallway, a voice in the background sounds like its saying, “What Satan are they telling you.”

Scream Thomas.MPG – William’s GoPro camera on the second floor and facing the command center picked up a scream in the background.

Scream2 thomas.MPG – William’s GoPro camera on the second floor and facing the command center picked up another softer scream in the background.

Their room god damnit Thomas.MPG – William’s Panasonic 4k camera in Room 18 picked up a whispery voice saying, “Their room, god damnit.”

What’s that Thomas.MPG – Piscopo’s static camera facing down the long hallway on the second floor picked up a voice saying, “What’s that?”

Words spoken by the Ovilus in dictionary mode: Dining room #1 records and down; Murder Room tilde, fell, result, cords, thick, nice, indicate, sites, oremus, Z, communicate, face, eye, soldier, bunny, though and portal; Dining room #2 gather, astral, discover, woman, study, grasp, natural, lark, soak, read, warrior, medium, trade, decided, note, move, anger, dollar, batteries, spell and shinning; Second floor hallway #1 normal, frame, her, trace, clairvoyant, read, never, school, each, nerd and gentle; Pool quarter, center, Kelly, frame, read, exit, shinning, yet, let, manifest, there, Lynn, soccer, attack, pop and seed; Second floor hallway #2 question, exit, cupcake, flow, class, corner, be, flowers, Vern, column, both, trade, felt, house, read, Harry, December, industry, soccer, already, shepherd, members, suddenly, early, decided, Kelly, nice, lie, anything, pillow, suit, face, memory, map and result; Room 18 tall, tragic, reservation and be; Long hallway tall and attitude.

Conclusions: Our two days of investigation of the Thomas House again brought us a lot of interesting evidence but left us with a lot of question marks as to what some of the noises and responses were associated with or whom. All the evidence was auditory and nothing visual which is to be expected as visual evidence is much more difficult to capture and assemble.

Some of the responses we received were again direct responses to questions asked or were, at least, very relevant to the circumstances at hand. Evidence or direct personal experiences were encountered throughout the day and evening and at all times.

I believe that there are indeed a number of both residual and very intelligent entities that still call the Thomas House their home and they have no reason to leave. After all, it is a lovely location and they must feel right at home here as did us during our short stay.

Leonard's Cave Investigation 2016

A large cave, known by archaeological evidence to have been inhabited by Indians, is almost in the center of the Leonard Community. The cave (and the community) was called Leonard because it was on the farm owned by Lemuel Leonard, whose widow, Sally, donated the land for the community cemetery. The cave is still, for the most part, unexplored. The opening to the cave is larger than the Mammoth Cave in Kentucky .

A large stream runs within the cave at all times. The “spring” in front of the cave is actually the headwaters of Trace Creek. The cave in unique in that it has a very large room at the entrance. In this room, on the ceiling in an imprint of a cows hoof, how it got there, no one knows. There are other unique things in the cave, like the turtle rock, the rainbow on the back wall of the cave about 4 o’clock in the evening of a summer time. The Buckeye tree that wept, but now is gone, was struck by lightning.

The main passageway to the right of this large room leads to another room. A stairway from this room leads to an upstairs room. The large room at the entrance was made into a combination dance and beer hall in the late 1930s. It had a large volume of business for a year of so. The cave came to the attention of the Tennessee Government in the early 1900s when the State Geology Department unearthed four skeletons in the large room of the cave in the early 1920s, thought to be the remains of two men, one woman, and one child. Artifacts found in the graves establish that the Leonard Cave had served as a burial ground for Indians. Two of these skeletons were placed in the State Museum in the War Memorial Building in Nashville .

The dancehall was closed shortly after Ed Darman of Cookeville was shot there by a Clay County officer.

Hauntings: Reports of paranormal activity have occurred in the cave since its closure.

Equipment setup: All the setup and equipment was deployed in the main room. IR and full spectrum cameras, IR illuminators, REM Epod, Melmeters, laser grids, Ovilus and SB-11 Ghost Box, digital tape recorders and cameras.

Experiments performed: EVP, Ovilus and Ghost Box sessions were conducted within the main part of the cave. A K-11 meter was wedged in the wall at the same location where it was dislodged from a previous investigation.

The Ghost Research Society investigated Leonard's Cave on June 16, 2016. Team members included: Stan Suho, Jim Piscopo, Kathie Para, Sandy Weber, Michael Wright, Katherine Meagher, Chuck Williams, Demaris Miles and Dale Kaczmarek with help from Dean Thompson and Clint Gaither.

Personal experiences:

Kathie Para: GRS investigated a cave while staying at the Thomas House. GRS had investigated this cave several years earlier and had some great experiences, so expectations were high.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I believe this was due to the fact that there were probably a dozen people there. We also had an incident during our initial walk around where one of our members slipped and fell, hitting her head and fracturing her clavicle bone. This stirred up quite a bit of excitement during our time there and caused a distraction. I’m happy to report weeks later she is doing great.

We used pretty much every piece of equipment that you could imagine. We got some reactions to our communications through meter lights and some possibly relevant words from the Ovilus. There was also an unexplained light source that was briefly seen by some during our EVP session. Most of the activity we did experience seemed to be centered on a human bone that was there. It is believed to be that of a Native American Indian.

As I said, there was far too much contamination and distraction to conduct a thorough investigation. I would really like to return with a handful of investigators one day.

Sandy Weber: Equipment:   Sony night shot video camera, Infrared camera (FLIR), dousing rods, and Tri-Field Natural EM meter

Phenomena witnessed by investigator

I did not experience or witness any potentially paranormal phenomena.  I would like to point out, however, that the cave appeared to have been “seeded” with a human bone that clearly did not belong there.  The bone appeared to be the distal portion of a male humerus.  The bone was clean of any soft tissue debris or animal tooth marks.  The surface had the patina of a bone used in a school lab for teaching purposes—not the dull appearance of a bone found in nature.  The specimen was large and out of place in an easily seen location—not a bone that would have been overlooked while collecting any human remains found in the cave after a traumatic death.  I had planned to come back to the location to examine the bone in more detail but was injured before I could do so.  I am left with the impression that someone wanted to support the stories of a death in the cave as a prank or to encourage ghost hunter tourists.

Summary

I did not record or witness any clear evidence that Leonard’s Cave is haunted.  My investigation was cut short by an injury.  Although I reserve judgment on whether or not paranormal phenomena occur in the cave, the above observations have left me disappointed with this experience.

Katherine Meagher: We investigated a cave nearby and that was very interesting. Along a path there were multiple K-II meters set up. There were only a couple of us in there and it was pitch black. Every K-II meter lit up one by one as if someone was walking down the path.

Jim Piscopo: I did some recording and EVPs in the afternoon while the group went to the cave.

Stan Suho: In the cave Sandy fell down and broke her crown. Whooo nuff of that.
Anyway we did get some good paranormal activity on a previous visit. But be
careful, it is very slippery in there. I spent much of my time walking
around taking pictures of the group.

Michael Wright: In the cave after we set up for an EVP session several meters started going off simultaneously. But then stopped after a few minutes we did a few more EVP sessions in the cave but did not pick up any substantial evidence. It was still a treat to be able to investigate such a beautiful place, unfortunately the floor of the cave was very slippery and one of our members and personal friend fell and needed medical attention.

Dale Kaczmarek: The cave, in my opinion, was much quieter than our last visit when I got poked in the back and a K-II was dislodged from a cave wall. This was probably due to the vast amount of people that we had investigating and crammed into the main portion of the cave system and also probably contamination from the entrance to the cave.

Evidence collected:

Bob hold it cave.MPG – while conducting an EVP session a male whisper was recorded in the background saying, “Bob hold it.”

Chuckle cave.MPG – while Williams was commenting about Weber’s fall in the cave, a deep male chuckling was recorded.

Crap cave.MPG – while conducting an EVP session, a question was asked, “Remember me from a few years ago and someone poked me in the back? Wanna do that again?” A whisper was recorded saying, “Crap.”

Get out cave.MPG – during a break Weber was talking to Williams and a whispery voice in the background says, “Get out.”

Girl they’re finding her cave.MPG – while conducting an EVP session, a comment was made, “You can come in here and talk with us, there’s no harm in it.” A whisper in the background says, “Girl, they’re finding her.”

Help me frick cave.MPG – while conducting an EVP session, a gruff male voice was recorded which says, “Help me…frick.”

Humming cave.MPG – in the background and above the talking of investigators, a humming or singing sound was recorded.

You there, do it, up up your dick cave. MPG – while conducting an Ovilus session in phonetic mode, the Ovilus spits out, “You there, do it up up your dick.”

Words spoken by the Ovilus in dictionary mode: suddenly, spectacular, mouse, soak, each, digital, Lynn, orb, twenty, Steven, yours, members, Venus, manifest, manual, inches, soil, tragic, porch, book, Betty, wood, along, real, calcium, be, communicate, party, dinner, George, reservation, gravity, lost, comfort, attitude, products, indicated, grave, vast, held, pet, angles, neck, she, pretty, honor and note.

Conclusions: Always an interesting place to investigate despite Weber’s unfortunate accident. Not a lot of evidence was collected through the Ovilus and none from the Ghost Box but a lot of true EVPs were recorded that sounded a bit sinister at times upon review. A smaller group would have been better or two sessions and splitting the group in half for each one. Contamination from people sitting on the benches near the mouth of the cave also contributed and could have been avoided. It was pointed out as we entered the cave system that sounds do travel from the entrance and can easily be heard further back into the cave. People involved in investigations must learn to keep their voices down during EVP sessions or avoid talking at all. It can be a distraction to those investigating and a real problem for others trying to separate real voices from spirit sounds.

Cloyd Church Investigation 2016

The Cloyd Chapel, located across the street from the hotel, was built by Tom Tyler Cloyd a number of years before his death in 1915.  Services were held there until 1954 or 1955. Cumberland Presbyterian Church, it was. Bro. Willie Dycus was pastor for 30 years at Cloyd’s Chapel and was the last pastor up until the end. After T.T. Cloyd died (1915), several people, including Mr. Bill Moss, storm-sheeted the inside of Cloyd Chapel and finished up the inside. About 1968, the Church of God began using Cloyd Chapel.

Today the building is being used as an antique store. There is currently no air-conditioning in the building and no power as a recent truck accident plowed into the church’s utility pole and it has never been repaired to date.

Hauntings: No specific hauntings could be uncovered however a number of paranormal teams have uncovered interesting evidence there including the GRS on two previous investigations.

Equipment setup: A couple of REM Epods were deployed, as well as Melmeters, a laser grid, IR cameras, IR illuminators and digital recorders and tape recorders. No formal set up was deployed due to the extreme temperature and stuffiness of the building.

The Ghost Research Society investigated Cloyd's Church on June 15, 2016. Team members included: Stan Suho, Jim Piscopo, Kathie Para, Sandy Weber, Michael Wright, Katherine Meagher, Chuck Williams, Demaris Miles and Dale Kaczmarek with help from Dean Thompson and Clint Gaither.

Personal experiences:

Jim Piscopo: We went across the street to do an EVP session in the church.

Chuck Williams: First Session was in the Cloyd Church, had REM Pod going off steady, when moved it stopped.

Michael Wright: The church was fairly quiet, a REM pod was going off but it appeared that there was an issue with the device.

Kathie Para: GRS investigated this building while at the Thomas House Hotel. It is a chapel located on the hotel grounds and was originally the Cloyd family chapel. It’s now used mainly for storage.

I personally had no paranormal experiences during our long EVP session and didn’t capture any curious EVPs or photos. I also had no unusual reading on either my REM pod or K-II meter. It was fairly quiet during our time there.

Sandy Weber: Equipment:    Sony night shot video camera, Infrared camera (FLIR), Tri-Field Natural EM meter

Phenomena witnessed by investigator

I participated in one EVP session in the church across the road from Thomas House.  I observed nothing that could be construed as paranormal evidence.  There was some erratic lighting of REM E-Pods, but my Tri-Field meter placed next to them did not register any abnormal levels of electro-magnetic activity.  I did not see or hear anything that might be construed as potentially paranormal on my video camera or FLIR.

Summary

I did not record or witness any evidence that the church is haunted.

Dale Kaczmarek: Some items of interest were picked up during this visit to the church. An erratic REM Epod was evidenced but it could have been a simply low-battery problem. Other devices placed next to the signaling Epod did not have any reaction to possible spirits or high EM fields. Due to the extreme heat of the building the EVP session was cut short but nothing was being picked up on any device during our visit.

Words spoken by the Ovilus in dictionary mode: Z, real and gravity.

Evidence collected:

Get help cloyd.MPG – while conducting an Ovilus session in phonetic mode, it says, “Get help.”

Hi cloyd.MPG – while conducting an EVP session, Piscopo’s static camera picks up a whisper that says, “Hi.”

I don’t care hate you cloyd.MPG – while conducting an Ovilus session in phonetic mode, a comment was made, “I don’t want to leave” and it responds with, “I don’t care, hate you.”

Or else people I’ll kill you cloyd.MPG – while conducting an Ovilus session in phonetic mode it says, “Or else people I’ll kill you.”

Whisper cloyd.MPG – while conducting an EVP session a whisper was recorded that could possibly say either “I dent” or “Ardent.”

Who did cloyd.MPG – while conducting an Ovilus session in phonetic mode, a question was asked, “Jim sneezed. What do you say?” The Ovilus responds with, “Who did?”

Yes cloyd.MPG – while conducting an EVP session, a question was asked, “Is there somebody near that table?” A whispery voice says, “Yes.”

You cloyd.MPG – while conducting an Ovilus session in phonetic mode, a question was asked, “Who do you want to leave this church?” The Ovilus responds with, “You.”

You2 cloyd.MPG – while conducting an Ovilus session in phonetic mode, a question was asked, “Do you want us to leave?” The Ovilus responds with, “You.”

You come out cloyd.MPG – while conducting an EVP session and in between conversation, a gruff male voice is recorded which says, “You come out.”

You go out or else cloyd.MPG – while conducting an Ovilus session in phonetic mode, the Ovilus says, “You go out, or else.”

Conclusions: There were many interesting true EVPs and direct responses, some a little hostile, directed at the group during this visit to the church. Previous investigations never showed any hostility but more light-hearted or even playful responses. This was a very different change in the atmosphere from the past.

If the location wasn’t so uncomfortable, perhaps we could have stayed longer and retrieved more data and evidence.
