About the Ghost Research Society

The Ghost Research Society was formed as a clearing house for reports of ghosts, hauntings, poltergeist and life after death encounters. The society members actively research and investigate all reports that come their way including private homes and businesses. The society also analyzes alleged spirit photographs, video and audio tapes that they come across from ordinary people or society members.

We are extremely active in ghost research and have investigated such very haunted locations as: Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, USS North Carolina, Roff House, Tinker Swiss Cottage, Bobby Mackey's Music World, Prospect Place, Waverly Hills Sanitarium, Mansfield Reformatory, Moundsville Prison, Ft. Mifflin, Antietam and Gettysburg Battlefield, Nemacolin Castle, Lincoln Theater, Theater Guild, Lemp Mansion, McPike Mansion, Mineral Springs Hotel, Cheney House, Bachelor's Grove Cemetery, Ethyl's Party, Excalibur Club, Havencrest Castle, Starved Rock, Brumder Mansion, Fredericksburg Battlefield, Buxton Inn, Regent Theater, Stratford Inn, Egyptian Theater, Paci's Lounge, Graveyard X, Greenwood Cemetery, Fox Hollow Farm, Crown Point Jail, Pollak Hospital, Bartonville Asylum, Old South Pittsburg Hospital, Berlin Tannery, Barnes Mansion as well as several hundred other public and private homes across the country and in England and Wales.

The Ghost Research Society employs a number of specialized devices to detect the presence of ghosts.

You can become a member of the Ghost Research Society and become actively involved by joining as an Associate Member. All memberships include GRS button, Photo ID and the opportunity in assisting in ghost research and investigation. All new active members must be interviewed, prior to sending in their fee for membership. Email for more details.

We are also looking to expand the Ghost Research Society to other states by utilizing State Coordinators and Area Research Directors to form branches of the GRS. If you are interested in forming your own branch please contact Dale Kaczmarek at the email address listed below.

Current rates are:

Associate Membership is $25.00 and is the entry membership for new members. You still receive the benefits as Sustaining Members do.
Sustaining Membership is $35.00 and includes the opportunity in helping with research, investigation and Field Excursions and a 10% discount to GRS sponsored events. (Must be at least 21 years old or older) and is limited to local members only (Illinois, NW Indiana and Southern Wisconsin or those who can make the Bi-Monthly Meetings).
Patron Membership is $50.00 and includes all benefits plus a 20% discount to GRS-sponsored events and tours.
Lifetime Memberships are available for $250.00.
